Does anyone here own a Wii U? I've had one for about a year and I have 14 games for it.

My favorite games on it are Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles X.

The Wii U didn't sell very well over the past 4 years because Nintendo advertised it very poorly. Most people I mention it to think it's a new controller for the original Wii console instead of a new console. I actually really like the console because it makes innovative use of the Wii U Gamepad so you can do things like manage your inventory without pausing the game, like in Wind Waker HD for instance.

Another game that makes really good use of the gamepad is Star Fox Zero, which came out earlier this year. The way Star Fox Zero works is that you can steer your ship using the joystick, but aim by moving the gamepad. A lot of people criticized it for making too much use of the gamepad, saying it was too much to handle, but I thought it made the game more intuitive because you don't always have to be on the same axis as the enemy you're shooting at.

Right now, thinking about the Wii U makes me a little sad because they're putting an end to the console and replacing it with the Nintendo Switch next year. The only games left that are coming out for the Wii U are Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Yooka Laylee. I'm sure most of us know what Zelda is but Yooka Laylee is actually a Western game, made by the same people who made Banjo Kazooie.

It's a 3D platforming collect-a-thon, so the gameplay revolves around jumping around levels to solve puzzles and collecting enough pieces to unlock the other levels. You play as a lizard named Yooka, who is followed around by a sassy bat named Laylee. I'm actually really looking forward to it because it's been a while since a good 3D platformer was made.

Do you own a Wii U? What games do you own? Are you thinking about getting the Switch next year when it comes out?

Sadly I never had the opportunity to play on Wii U. I think most Korean gamers at that time have to choose one out of three console platforms with motion control technology: Wii, PS3 move, and Xbox one Kinect. I stupidly chose PS3 move because I already had the console and regretted a lot. Now I'm paying attention to VR platforms but take a step back due to lack of its contents. I believe the early adapter equals an idiot nowadays, especially when technology exceeds business speed.

Really? That's too bad. You could always import it from another country but that might be a bit expensive.

No wonder the console didn't sell very well.
